Hate Mailer called "crackpot" by
National publication |
Reprinted
from
Eco-Logic
Dear editor,
Mr. Horgan [Restoration
or Incineration] knows nothing about the Sequoia
National Forest, knows nothing about ecology or forest
management, and as far as I have been able to tell, there is no
such group as "Stewards of the Sequoia." Mr. Horgan is a
crackpot dirt bike enthusiast who has been around here for less
than a year. The local people regard him as a joke.
He is from Connecticut and knows nothing about Western Forests.
He has posted this same article on at least six other web sites.
It is so full of misinformation, and is so ridiculous in nature
that I am surprised that you would demean yourselves by
publishing it. You ought to do a better job of checking people
out to make sure that they are who they say they are, and that
they have their facts straight.
Archie Logsdon
Lake Isabella, CA
Well, Archie, we've checked you out. Many of our readers -
especially those in red states - would consider you to be a
crackpot after reading your poem "LodgepolePine,"
in which you instruct your survivors to give your ears to a
coyote, your eyes to a trout, and your nose to a bear.
We note that you are a member of
Sequoia Forest Keepers whose
goal is to end logging in National Forests. This puts you right
up there with the other crackpots who prefer to see the forests
burn than to allow a tree to be cut.
Chris Horgan's contributions do not demean our publication. You
can be sure that our publication will never be demeaned by the
tripe you write.
