McNally Tree Planting 5/22/05

Dead Trees as far as the eye can see.
Forest recovery without tree planting may take 200-500 years.
Stewards of the Sequoia volunteers do their part to speed reforestation by
planting trees

NEWLY PLANTED SEEDLING BENEATH DEAD FOREST

Foresters state it may take 200-500 years for the forest to return without Tree Planting & thinning of dead trees. Within 30 years the dead trees seen here will likely be fuel for another unnatural fire. That fire will then incinerate the new growth trees.

This unnatural cycle of massive incineration could be broken using common sense management techniques. Instead extreme groups will continue to file lawsuits to prevent management.

Forest unnaturally dense from decades of fire suppresion

Two & a half years after the fire
As you can see our forests are unnaturally dense from 100 years of fire suppression
Fire is part of the natural cycle, but only when the forest is in a natural condition. Today our forests need to be put into a natural state by thinning & management. Otherwise mother nature will incinerate the forest & the wildlife.

Our Forest are badly in need of thinning or removal of dead trees in order to keep the forest Healthy & return them to a natural state. Once thinned they can benefit from natural wildfires

Todays Wildfires are not natural. Natural fires of the past are much smaller & far less intense. Natural Fires do not incinerate the Forest & Wildlife

WITHOUT RESPONSIBLE MANAGEMENT THIS IS THE LEGACY WE WILL LEAVE FOR FUTURE GENERATIONS
